Mark Grothe is a US Army Veteran and has called Albuquerque home since 1997. He earned degrees at Albuquerque Bible College, and Faith Evangelical Seminary before attending the Shepherd’s School at Cross Christian Fellowship, which he graduated from in 2012.

Pastor Jason David

Jason is a Michigan native who has lived in Albuquerque since 2009. Jason met his wife, Kim shortly after moving from Michigan. Jason and Kim have been blessed with three children; Ariana, Mateo and Elise. After learning that Mateo had a fatal genetic disorder during the twentieth week of pregnancy, Jason and Kim did all they could to get to know him and love him.  Mateo entered heaven on May 18, 2014 after living three days on this earth. He was a blessing from the second they met him to the moment they said see you soon.

Jason graduated from Shepherd School in July of 2014. Jason and Kim followed the call God placed on their hearts and started Sunshine Church on Sunday, March 1 2015.

Pastor Chris Torres

The Lord used Chris' desire to live in the mountains like Grizzly Adams and his wife, Erin's desire to open a coffee shop to move both they and their family up to Red River, New Mexico. Through a Divine appointment, Chris met Pastor Michael Coker at their coffee shop, The Way Coffee', in a meeting that has changed his life tremendously. Through this meeting, Chris was encouraged to be a pastor. He has since fulfilled God's calling on his life by becoming a student in the current Shepherd School and being ordained as a pastor. He will be graduating from the Cross Christian Fellowship Shepherd School in three more quarters.

Chris decided to form Cross Christian Fellowship Standing in the Gap in Red River, New Mexico, to offer a place of worship and teaching for those who do not attending either church currently existing in Red River and to those who do not currently have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
