Prophecy - Last Days
End Times Preparedness Part One
End Times Preparedness
Antichrist Spirit
1 John 2:18 (NKJV) Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
1 John 4:2–3 (NKJV) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Truth
John 1:14 (NKJV) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 8:32 (NKJV) And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:44 (NKJV) You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Love
Ephesians 2:4–5 (NKJV) But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
1 John 4:8 (NKJV) He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Matthew 24:12 (NKJV) And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
There are now two societies.
Not a culture war – but a fracturing of society. Different social accounts, shops, areas at school, workplace, and soon banking.
Separated by morality and the lack of it.
Preparedness and Trusting
Proverbs 6:6–8 (Message)
You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
I would rather be a year early then a day late.
Getting Started
Simplify what you need and get you moving in the right direction.
Break down the types of disasters you may face and provide you with a basic understanding of the minimal things you may need to survive them.
Ready.gov reports that only 17% of Americans claim to be prepared for a disaster, and I suspect that number is a little high.
Levels of Disasters
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
First Step for Preparedness
#1 Identify the most probable for you
#2 Define the length of duration and multiply by 3
#3 Evaluate your needs and make a start list
Food
Buy what you eat and have enough for minimum daily calories
The average human requires a 1,200 minimum level of calories before the body goes into starvation mode.
Get food with longer shelf life
Don’t over stock on freezer food – not good during power outages
Items best for this
Choose items easy to store long-term without refrigeration, easy to cook with little energy (elect. or fuel)
provide ample nutrition.
Avoid things that you must bake or have long cook times
Limited to base as you mix or add to it
Oatmeal, Ramen, Beans, Pasta, and Rice
Canned, pickled, and dehydrated options for your food supplies.
Shelf Life - Best used by Date is suggested not absolute
Storage
Use a place other than your pantry and rotate your stock every six months.
Buy what you eat, eat what you buy
Water
Almost all people grossly underprepared
90% of Americans rely upon the public drinking water system.
What you need daily
The general rule for minimal preparedness is one gallon of water per person (don’t forget your pets) per day for 3-days.
Purification - When you cannot store but can harvest get water
Know in advance, Then fill what you have
Collapsible containers
Igloo
Pots
Bathtub
Ready source
Water heater
Long-term storage and purification
Avoid clear plastic water bottles – when heated they release BPA agents into the water
Use non-BPA
Not white or clear – Light gets through and it can grow mold and pathogens
You will need 9 weeks to 6 months
55-gallon drums
Rainwater catchment system
Water treatment
Water purification
Life straw
